More Crew

David Becker

Sharpen a pencil, give him a spread sheet, and let him loose; great at finding every penny! David is our summer intern through the Bridgeport Neighborhood Fund. He also is working on coordinating volunteers and visitors from the local summer camps for the Summer Sounds of the World concert series.

Enoc LaViera

Enoc LaViera runs the Mask Making Workshop for IPA in the Black Rock and Longfellow Public Schools. He comes from a distinguished family of Loiza (Puerto Rico) artists who are maintaining the traditional arts of the region. Enoc will spend several months in Puerto Rico doing further research, studying and documenting the mask making of the region.

Ray Currytto

Artists talk a lot about freedom. So, recalling the expression "free as a bird," Morton Feldman went to a park one day and spent some time watching our feathered friends. When he came back, he said, "You know? They're not free: they're fighting over bits of food."

Eran Glantz

In my house there's this light switch that doesn't do anything. Every so often I flick it on and off just to check. Yesterday, I got a call from a woman in Norway. She said, 'Cut it out'.
